ยาก ที่ชีวิตสัตว์อยู่สบาย

๔. กิจฺโฉ มนุสฺสปฏิลาโภ
กิจฺฉํ มจฺจาน ชีวิตํ
กิจฺฉํ สทฺธมฺมสฺสวนํ
กิจฺโฉ พุทฺธานมุปฺปาโท ฯ ๑๘๒ ฯ

ยาก ที่ได้เกิดมาเป็นมนุษย์
ยาก ที่ชีวิตสัตว์อยู่สบาย
ยาก ที่จะได้ฟังธรรมของสัตบุรุษ
ยาก ที่พระสัมพุทธจะอุบัติมา


Hard is it to be born as a man,
Hard is the life of mortals,
Hard is it to hear the Truth Sublime,
Hard as well is the Buddha's rise.
